WriteShop Primary Testimonials
Levi has really enjoyed this program. It has taken the pressure off of him to read and write, and just allowed him to be creative … Our kindergarten year has been a pretty rough start up to the last couple of months. But WriteShop has really changed things at our house! –Chris, Nothin’ 2 Prove
This curriculum really makes the process fun. My daughter loved the hands-on aspect, from coloring, to cutting, to making her own booklet, to tracing, to answering questions that really made her think, to drawing and tracing. –Tere, Puddle Jumping
The beauty of this program is that the point is to simply encourage this young writer to just write. As we trekked through the lessons it was delightful to see Ana begin to bud with enthusiasm over how she was beginning to pull these stories together. –Callie, Mama’s Coffee Shop
The highlight … for all of us is the publishing projects. I never took the time before WriteShop to treat the kids’ writing like the treasures that they are, and turning their stories into a board game or a gigantic comic strip is a great way to motivate the kids to put their heart-felt effort into writing their stories. – Julie, California
WriteShop Junior Testimonials
My kiddos are having so much fun with the lessons, that they actually look forward to writing time now which is a huge bonus! … I’ve really seen Turbo blossom in writing since we’ve started the program. His first adventure story was 5 pages long! The kid just wouldn’t stop writing, and not only that, but his story was actually really well put together and thought out! … We’re absolutely loving this program, and definitely plan to continue with WriteShop in the future! –Erica, Confessions of a Homeschooler
Bryce has not only learned how to be an effective writer, but he has also gained confidence along the way. I never would have thought this was possible. The progress he has made since we began is truly an amazing thing. –Michelle, Florida
My kids have learned buckets! Above all else, they have gained a confidence in writing that they didn’t have before. Thanks … I can’t say it enough. –Marisa, South Dakota
I really loved the writing prompts because they made me think of things that I wouldn’t have on my own. They inspired me to write a little bit everyday and I think my writing has gotten better. The Writer’s Notebook is my favorite part. I learned some things about editing my stories, too, even though that isn’t as much fun as writing. It makes my stories better and that’s important. –Homeschool student (age 12), Embracing Destiny
WriteShop I & II Testimonials
Thank you very much for creating Write Shop! It has been a pleasure to teach this curriculum and the results are phenomenal. Our son went from hating writing to asking for more! –Heily, California
I am SO very thankful for our using WriteShop 1 & 2 the last two years with Laurianna. That program gave her such a great headstart in becoming a great writer – which shows in her literature papers. –Jolanthe Erb, Homeschool Creations
My son has always hated writing lessons because he has a lot of natural skills and most instruction seems to hold him back rather than push him to improve. He now loves writing “class” because he sees himself stretching forward instead of straining against the lesson plans … I firmly believe no other curriculum on the market comes close to WriteShop when it comes to teaching a gifted student. –Susan Spann, attorney and author of the Shinobi Mysteries
My sons absolutely loved the WriteShop program! It is great for boys! [They] hated English and writing because it didn’t make sense to them. But with WriteShop, they did it every day without a complaint. They loved the logical layout, checklists, etc. … and felt like they could finally succeed at writing. –Dianna Wiebe, author of Grapevine Studies
I really enjoyed the broadness of the writing assignments… For one lesson I was prompted to describe a place and was allowed to describe any place I wanted. For another assignment I was asked to write a biography and given the choice of any historical figure that interested me. This freedom of subject matter allowed my creativity to flow. It also gave me the ability to take information that I was learning in other subjects and incorporate it into my writing. –WriteShop student
