What’s your favorite family recipe? Research its origin by asking family members. Document what you learn about the background of the recipe, list the key ingredients, and give step-by-step directions for how to make it.

2. None for Me

In a short expository essay, write about the type of dietary restriction you think would be the hardest to live with. Explain why.

BONUS: Do you suffer from a food allergy, intolerance, or disease? Make a snack or dessert that fits with your dietary restrictions.

3. It’s Our Specialty

What regional dish is your area famous for? After you research this food, write about its origins and explain ways to prepare it.
