The 3 winning photo prompts (randomly selected) and other hand-picked entries are below. Enjoy using these with your children as prompts for journal entries or for full-fledged writing assignments.
If you missed the challenge, no worries! You can still use our idea anytime for an easy writing lesson. Give each child a camera or take turns with your mobile phone. Give everyone a brief timeline to take pictures that would make great photo prompts. Then help your children choose the best ones to print. Guide them to write captions for each image. Then write! This would make a great co-op activity, too, since each child could trade prompts with someone else.
