Apostrophe catastrophes

I confess that my quest for bad signage is far too easy. This one absolutely makes me want to weep. . . . . . Stop by every 1st and 3rd Wednesday for a peek into the world...

These are funny, but I don’t see them as editing errors per se. Weird stuff just happens, and newspapers report it. :) We were once awakened by a policeman in the middle of the night because a senile neighbor had reported that my husband was swinging on her ceiling fan and trying to scare her! I think the middle one is a good example of a crash blossom and a copy editor having fun with the headline.

I suppose it’s not actually a crash blossom. Anyway, thanks for the chuckle!

Ah, I suppose you’re right, Shauna. Not exactly editing faux pas, but funny nonetheless.

Your story cracked me up, BTW. :)
